Welcome to the home page of Luna Sagrada, a
Sustainably built home of Chuck &
Brenda T. Horton. We have built the home of Straw Bale, Earth Plaster,
Strawboard, Reclaimed Wood, SIP Panels, Recycled Blue Jeans Cotton
Insulation, Solar Powered, Passive Solar Design, No AC needed, Grey Water, No
toxic Paints or Stains (no vocs) and many other sustainable practices.
We hope to use the home to show others what is possible in home building.
We also have used and will continue to use the home for fundraising and charity
events.
We started this process by buying land in March of 2000.
We spent over a year in design, and eighteen months of construction. We
have many ongoing projects to finish to home. Started construction in July
2001 and moved in December of 2002.
