How To Captivate Your Customers Like A Rockstar.

Michael Franti

I recently attended a Spearhead concert produced by Wanderlust in Tahoe, California, and even though I have seen Michael Franti (the lead singer of Spearhead) and his band at least a dozen times, the experience always leaves me inspired. After the concert, I started thinking about Spearhead’s insanely raving fan base and wondered what a small business owner can do to inspire and excite her target audience to take action.  After all, what's the point of having a business if you are not inspiring or motivating your customers to buy your products or services? Meetup: 4 Reasons Why Meeting People in Person Still Matters.

Meetup

Let's Meetup! If someone had told me five years ago that I would be the organizer of a Meetup group with over 100 members that discusses online business and marketing strategies, I would have told them that they were smoking crack. His enthusiastic answer « Continue »

So, here is the short version of what I shared with him at Diego's restaurant amongst immediate family.  By the way, here is the Yelp review I wrote about my experience that evening at Diegos.   These were just random thoughts on life and business in no particular order: Life is gray. It is NOT black and white and because « Continue »

How My Mom Inspired Me To Become An Entrepreneur

1954 My mother, the Ham.

"You can't be what you can't see." That was the slogan for the release of the film, Miss Representation. It was in reference to young women needing positive female role models and the importance of being able to witness their successes --- and so by seeing these powerful women, they too would be able achieve their dreams and aspirations. In honor of Mother's Day, this blog post is dedicated to my mother, the most positive female role model I have ever known... While most young girls were playing with dolls and having make-believe tea parties, I was pretending to be a "career" « Continue »
