From Chaos To Clarity

WheatGrassShotBrendaGena

Entrepreneurs have a high threshold for uncertainty and risks. We thrive in chaos and can navigate through a lot of confusion on our way to clarity.  We wouldn’t have our lives any other way. The challenges, the complexity, and the craziness of entrepreneurship are what oftentimes make us feel alive. But there comes a point when we need to move away from chaos and get clear, grounded, and centered. Otherwise, we find ourselves unproductive or wasting time, money, and resources (things small business owners don’t have a lot of). And that’s where having a daily ritual is vital. How To Captivate Your Customers Like A Rockstar.

Michael Franti

I recently attended a Spearhead concert produced by Wanderlust in Tahoe, California, and even though I have seen Michael Franti (the lead singer of Spearhead) and his band at least a dozen times, the experience always leaves me inspired. After the concert, I started thinking about Spearhead’s insanely raving fan base and wondered what a small business owner can do to inspire and excite her target audience to take action.  After all, what's the point of having a business if you are not inspiring or motivating your customers to buy your products or services? I have often been accused of being a passionate person, so I recognize it immediately when I see it in others and it was clear to me that this kid was passionate about his video-making abilities. His enthusiastic answer « Continue »

Life Lessons I Learned Post College

Graduation Day

My nephew graduated from college last month... Graduation Day, Gabe and his sisters. and as with all life changing events, it provoked me to reflect, take a pause and write down some thoughts on what I have learned since I graduated from college. So, here is the short version of what I shared with him at Diego's restaurant amongst immediate family.  By the way, here is the Yelp review I wrote about my experience that evening at Diegos.   These were just random thoughts on life and business in no particular order: Life is gray. It is NOT black and white and because « Continue »
