Thanks Vanessa, so true...we could eat the healthiest of foods, but if we are filled with anger or jealousy, etc., it does no good to our bodies. An integral approach is surely a well-rounded way of looking at one's overall health.

Great post Brenda! It's so important to make the health connection to all areas of our life - work, relationships, etc. It's all about taking care of ourselves and discovering what optimal health is for us. I would also add that it's about *how* we do what we do when it comes to creating health. You could eat the healthiest food in the world but if you're doing it while thinking about something that stresses you out or are driving or multitasking, that impacts your ability to properly digest the food and absorb its nutrients.

Many people approach health as if they were fighting disease, fearful of an enemy - as if they aren't at the helm of their own ship. There are no victims. We always have a choice, at minimum, in our perspective. Our bodies are truth tellers and way showers. Our bodies are doing so many things right at any given time, especially when someone is out of balance, always working extra hard to create health and harmony internally. It's (hopefully) our promise to our body to do the same, to make supportive choices - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. You nailed it when you said you move every day and eat consciously. Yes! So important.

I'm glad you're well!

Or, it could be that insoluble fiber lowers colon cancer risk because the fermentation of the fibers in the colon lowers the pH levels. Vision Care
