Thanks Lisa! Making connections with people from all over the world, especially like-minded people of shared interests and values through social networking sites is one the most exciting aspects of social media. I believe, with the help of social media, we will find and embrace our global humanity.

Thanks for the great post Brenda. Just got off the phone with my 60+ something Dad and I had a similar conversation with him about "people spending an overwhelming amount of time on the internet instead of talking face to face!" I have a lovely community of friends that I interact with face to face. AND as a result of a few months on Twitter, now I'm also in communication with new found colleagues in Israel, Paris and Germany. I would never have these relationships if it weren't for social media. All things in moderation, I say ,and to dismiss social media is to miss a tremendous opportunity to build relationships and expand your business. Keep up the good work!

I truly believe that my clients, solo-preneurs and entrepreneurs primarily, have more difficulty with the "rules of engagement on these sites. How is easy once they find their voice! Second then,is the actual "how to" plan that gets results! @susanberland is one of my students getting tremendous results - check her out!
